 Future Steering Group

People suggested for invitation to be the core executive:

Whoever the new national coordinator is. – LJ to invite the new person to invite them onto the steering group and for ¼ dates to meet.  Copy CO into the email.

Lisa Johnston – Lowri Edwards on an ad hoc basis when required

Gary Davies – Lucy Von Weber on an ad hoc basis when required

Trade Rep - representative for the 3 TA’s (Chris Osborne – continue as chair)

LJ to email 3 TA’s chairs persons to check with their board that they are happy with CO representing the trade on the Gallu Exec Steering group.  LJ

Terminology:

Gary Davies proposes that CO represents the trade organisations at the Gallu Exec and asks the boards for their support.

Other people may be invited to attend the Exec as when required.

Gallu exec will meet once a quarter from here on in.  LJ to send out dates after inviting the new coordinator on to the Exec for the next 12 months do this after 1st of April.

 

Business Plan/Budget

120K in the Gallu budget includes 20K for Ffres.

West Wales Hospitality Panel/Forum

It was agreed that the WWHP will continue and that the group will meet twice a year.  CO is the Chairperson.  LJ to arrange next panel meeting to clarify what is happening re Forum and future of Gallu.

The West Wales Hospitality Forum will no longer be a standalone event and may be looked at to integrate into the Regional Roadshows.

The group needs to take aback seat at the moment and see what opportunities and staff become available when the RDP bid come into fruition.

 

Workforce Development Group in Swansea Bay Area

LJ to get a member of trade to champion the group and call a first meeting to get the lay of the land.

GOFAL

LJ to speak to GD to chase Chris Coleman re any solution to the duplication in the Croeso Cynnes Programme.

When resolved LE to identify opportunities to promote Gofal alongside the Croeso Suite of training.

 Good initiative to be continued – responsibilities to be defined.
