  • Action Points from previous meeting –

Developing Your Business Modules – The Gallu team are currently in the process of working with the trade to evaluate the modules.  GALLU

Distance Learning – Distance Learning was something Gallu should introduce to the trade as it could be done in their own time.  GALLU

Seminars for setting up Events and Festivals – It was agreed that CO would contact PLANED to explain that if we have any enquiries we would signpost to them, however if they are outside of the area Gallu may have to fund the seminars. CO

 

  • Gallu Update and County Reports –

Working with CITO – It was decided that Gallu would help support CITO as best they can however Gallu needs to ensure that the money they spend is not wasted on courses which are already being run in the industry. LE

Trade Day to St Fagans – CO suggested organising a quiz on the way back on the bus to find out how much the trade have taken in during the day.  It was also agreed that if the take up was not very good the date may have to be changed. GALLU

Gallu Survey – various changes were made to the survey.  It was agreed to send the survey out to the trade around October/November.

Customer Care project – It was decided set up a steering group with various representatives such as the trade, training providers, and customers to look at how the Customer Care workshops could be set up and run.  A tender needs to be put together for the Education side of the workshop. GALLU

Action Points from Mid Term Review – Nothing to action

 

West Wales Hospitality Forum Event – It was discussed that if Andrew Davies could not attend we would ask Phillip Evans from the WTB – LE to check with Huw

It was decided to send the New Stadium information to the trade after the August Bank Holiday weekend. – GALLU

It was decided to put another marketing paragraph together for training providers to try and encourage them to come along. - GALLU

 

3-5 Year Business Plan – It was agreed that the group needed to meet up to discuss this.  DJ suggested changing the name to ‘The Future – Business Plan’ rather than 3-5 year business plan - GALLU

 

AOB-

Gallu Holiday Planner – It was agreed that this needed to be investigated a bit more and it was worth finding out if the trade would be interested in a holiday planner and receiving another certificate.

IT MOT – It was decided to put a limit to the number of businesses that can take part in the IT MOT as it could work out to be very costly.
