ACTION POINTS:
County Consultative Groups to be asked for 2 trade volunteers to investigate the relevance of the content of a module of the (WTB) Develop Your Business Workshops and also to discuss how the trade can be encouraged to participate in resulting workshops. Agenda for the West Wales Hospitality Panel in June is suggested as below:
- Gallu Update – Power Point Presentation
- Graphs to demonstrate county stats.
- Also include the monies in the Tourist Association defined HRD accounts.
- Restaurants/engagement and training
- Forum Meeting in September – invites/invoices
- Panel Considerations
- West Wales Awards (Gallu 1 farewell) Sponsorship
- Gallu 2 – distance learning packages Gallu Team
A procedure should be put in place to monitor how all bookings for workshops are taken. The 3 main ways shouldbe measured i.e. email bookings not through website/email bookings via website/verbal bookings. Gallu Team
DJ mentioned a toolkit and potential seminars that WTB is creating to help event and festival organisers, CO advised that Planed have been doing something similar for years and that WTB should not be recreating the wheel. Helen Thomas at Planed should be contacted and their workshops discussed then Julie Russell, Cultural Tourism Manager at the WTB should be contacted with the relevant info for comparison.
