LJ to write a letter on behalf of group, for signature by CO to Barbara Priest thanking her for her work on the West Wales Hospitality Panel.

 

Russell Thomas is the appropriate person (recommended by Barbara) to continue Barbara’s work. LJ to email past minutes and future dates of the Hospitality Panel.

 

LJ to chase Tourism Swansea Bay with regard to Gallu Swansea Bay facilitator being able to attend the Management Meetings.

 

LJ to arrange an appointment with Heather Harris the new Chief Exec of Pembs Tourism.

 

Alan Dutton from JCPlus is to be invited to sit on the West Wales Hospitality Panel and the RnR Group.  LJ

 

Permission was given for Gallu to roll out the LeT Scheme to Swansea Bay area.  LJ


Karleighs Presentation for the Gallu Survey is to be emailed to the Executive Steering Group.

The following dates and topics are listed below for clarification:

 

21 June 06 Hospitality Panel – LJ to prepare Gallu Survey Analysis and project statistics.  GD is to prepare presentation highlighting Gallu and the Trade Operators Survey.  The other topic for the agenda is to be future funding assistance for post March 07.

 

11 July 06 Meeting cancelled.

 

8 August 06 Gallu Exec meeting and Business Plan with RTP.

 

20 Sep 06 WW Hospitality Panel

 

27 Sep 06  W W Hospitality Forum Topics:  Gallu Evaluation Analysis – Presentation by the training company and a consultation process with the trade regarding the future of Gallu.

 

LJ and DJ to sit down and out alternative scenarios for the future.

 

Investigate the answers to the questions on the appraisal form ‘ How much would you be prepared to pay for this course is European Funding was no longer available?’  LJ

 

LJ to put course costs on the agenda for the next Gallu Exec.

 

LJ to ring and meet with Sylvia Griffiths from NPTCBC regarding an idea by the council for a young peoples tourism award.

 

Exec group is to put thinking caps on to arrange a strategic political meeting for the future of the tourism industry in S  W Wales andits funding streams. ALL

Following on from a request from trade for skills development and service to run side by side with quality and grading DJ is in talks with Chris Coleman at WAG to put together a proposals document for this opportunity.  LJ to respond to industry member who made the request.
