Lisa Johnston – HRD Co-ordinator for South West Wales and Carmarthenshire Facilitator.
Happy summer season,
Welcome to Gallu’s 4th Newsletter, I can hardly believe that Gallu has been here for a year and what a busy year!
From Access Statements to Breakfast Master classes to a plethora of Computer related workshops to the hugely popular trade days and our networking events (don’t dare mention the bucking bronco and my bum!!)
Thank you so much to all of you who have taken part in the Gallu project, we know we are doing something right as over 500 tourism individuals have now taken advantage of the skills development that Gallu offers. Feedback from you is extremely positive and encouraging and with this fuelling the Gallu team we are organising some truly enlightening time travel heritage trade days throughout the Autumn which we will launch on our St Fagans Cross County Trade Day. To book visit www.gallu.org.uk and click on the relevant county.
We’ve been hugely motivated and encouraged by many of you to enter the National Training Awards, fingers crossed! I’ll keep you posted on that one.
I’m sure you’ll see us networking like crazy over the summer months, this is also a time for reflection and assessing how well Gallu has performed and what areas we can improve on, if you do have any constructive criticism or would just like to make your voice heard please email me on Carmarthenshiretourism@gallu.org.uk
I’m sure that the added skills that you have developed over the last 12 months with us will be put to good use! We know this is the busy time for you, we wish you all a profitable season and we look forward to getting back to our workshops in September.
Best Wishes
Lisa Johnston
