The modern skills diploma is an all-age,level 4 DCELLS commissioned apprenticeshipe style work based learning model (branded 'modern skills diploma') programme.
The programme via a network of 44 quality and experienced WBL training providers commission through public procurement - offers employed individuals an NVQ Level 4 plus an approved knowledge based qualification at level 4 approved under Section 96/97/99 of the LS Act 2000.
The delivery follows the apprenticeship - style training framework route, including a key skills component. It is a natural progression from lower level apprenticeships. participants would not normally be expected to already hold technician and/or people management postions. The funding quality framework, inspection processes, funding via NPFS forumla, under tendered contract follows those for MA and FMA programmes.
